    Description

UNBELIEVABLE signed preseason Program from perhaps the very first Royals/NBA/Pro appearance for Maurice Stokes!  October 27 1955 Boston Celtics/Rochester Royals Program SIGNED by:
    - Maurice Stokes (1st Round Draft Pick)
    - Jack Twyman (2nd Round Pick)
    - Ed Fleming (3rd Round Pick)
    Maurice
    Stokes
was on his way to becoming a Legendary star of the NBA, until his career was cut short in March of 1958 with a stroke after a head injury in a playoff game.  Jack Twyman, one of the greatest humanitarians the NBA has ever known, brought
    Stokes
into his home, and he and his family nursed Maurice back to some semblance of health, although he remained paralyzed, reteaching him how to talk, to write, and to walk.  Jack and the Twymans cared for Maurice until his death in 1970.
    - Stokes
was Rookie of the Year in 1955-56.
    - He set the NBA Rebound record for a season the following year.
    - He  was an NBA All-Star each of his 3 seasons.
    - One of only 5 Players with four CONSECUTIVE Triple Doubles!
.... And check this out - he was second ONLY TO BOB COUSY IN ASSISTS IN HIS THREE NBA SEASONS!!
