    Description

Okay, so fishing around in a very old foot locker I found these items.  I remember this fight.  These two pieces are dated together, Sept, 1978 for the very famous rematch.  The GO Magazine is a New Orleans 'what to do when in the city' tourist magazine - and I have not seen this anywhere else.  Also, Isaac Hayes (and if you don't like Hayes, something is seriously wrong with you) hosted a massive after-party - and this is an original flyer, framed.  Both pieces together, found together authenticates them in my book, and I have been doing this for quite some time.  I am not sure of the value - other than no one has them that I can find!  Anyhow, the reports, articles, on this rematch, where Ali regained his title, was a madhouse of stars, entertainers, musicians, you name it.
Now, Hayes did sing a 'disco version' of America the Beautiful, and Joe Frazier sang the Star Spangled Banner.  Ishmael Reed wrote a fabulous piece about the mayhem: 'Do You Really Know How Great I Was?' (Village Voice, October, 1978).
