See below for related information from the web:
After 1919 the activity continues normally.
In 1925 Mr. Raymaekers together with his sons create the limited company, the legal shape under which it still pursues its activities nowadays.
In 1911 Mr. Raymaekers and Mr. Gallendyn constitute the firm called Compagnie Brésilienne.
The firm settles in 32-34 Manchester Street where you can find it today.
Specializing in the fine coffee roasting, the business activity ceases almost completely during the World War I (1914-1918) due to the lack of raw material.
Santos Palace
During the first forty years FEVDOR brand commercialized by the Brazilian Co. specialized in mail order, but the habits are evolving.
Santos Palace
This distribution system was abandoned after the World War I to be replaced by the sale to restaurants, bars and other institutions (Horeca).
In 1971, Mr. Noël Blondeel, my father, bought the Brazilian Co. and moved into the 32-34 Manchester Street.
Two departments form the activity of Cie Brésilienne; SANTOS PALACE for the coffee-roasting, the sale and the distribution of the fine coffee and CLARY is specialized in the sale and the maintenance of coffee machines (percolator, espresso, etc.), dishwasher and spare parts.
Santos Palace
Nowadays we always sell these articles as well as the coffee accompaniments: milk, sugar, biscuits, chocolates, tea as well as the detergents.
Cie Brésilienne also possesses a store in the city center at 3 Marché aux Poulets Street.
For the elaboration of the coffee we possess a roaster of a capacity of 120 kg,
2 industrial coffee grinders, a system of storage with transport as well as a pneumatic vertical bag filler.
